So I am 2000 words into my dissertation, yup I am just as surprised as you! Whether it is any good is another question, but I shall let you know! I would not even be awake right now if it wasn't for all those litres of coffee running through my veins. And my arms are stretched out as far as possible to reach this keyboard due to the masses of books in front of me! Oh and again I am doing my essay on trainers
hehe, this time it has to be more theoretical so its about trainers and fashion subcultures in the mass cultural industry...yawn...I know you would rather look than read so we shall proceed...
Please excuse my cold-breeze-just-hit-my-face expression! This is what I wore to work this morning:

And the title of my post came from the lovely lovely tights I finally got from River Island! I saw them a couple of weeks back and loved them (
urm...leopard print AND floral! HELLO!) but could not justify paying £8 for a teeny bit of nylon which will rip/ladder on the 1st day of wear, which proved right, as it did.
Blood annoying I tell you. I couldn't stop thinking about them and thought, "what the heck, I'm not going to see these everyday!" so I went all the way back to get them, 2 stores
actually because my local didn't stock them. I have to say I am starting to really like the stuff in River
Island, but only in the last few months, and I've seen the new season stuff and quite excited by it all. They have improved their style and concept drastically (
as well as toning down their
embellishments on clothes/accessories), before it was
generally associated (by me anyway) with
chavs and
Essex type girls, not that there is anything wrong with that, it is just not me!
A few other blogs have spoken about the change as well, such as
Susie Bubble,
Catwalk Queen and
Kingdom of style. Who would have thought River Island would come out with some of the best patterned tights on the market??! River Island, I salute you (as long as you forever phase out the
embellishments and
tackiness on the pretty bags...)!

Oooohh and I am
really excited for the Miss
Selfridge new range too, a shop which I used to avoid as well ^_^...
Oh and I jumped on the bandwagon and joined
Chictopia....JOIN ALL!

I am so glad River Island is getting rid of soem of it's tacky embellishments! Though I still think it's too expensive! Your tights are amazing, I hope you can manage not to rip them! Char x
